Data Retrieval
Stop! Hammer time! Duh nuh nuh nuh…
You’d think this would be a 90’s flashback, but you’d be wrong. It’s a valuable piece of advice. Something happened to some of your data, and you want it back. STOP using the computer/PDA/Cell phone etc that the data is on. Don’t turn it off, turn it on, look at it funny, say cross words about it, or call it’s ex-girlfriend. Call us instead. Before you do anything else. Except, maybe, fix your hair. You got a little thing going on there.
Seriously, data is very ephemeral. It can generally be retrieved, although the success depends sometimes on whether it’s been overwritten or not. Everything you do with an electronic device involves risk that you are overwriting that which you want to save. The best thing you can do the moment you realize that you really wanted those pictures of ABBA singing polka at your Aunt’s birthday party is to take your hands off the computer and call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether or not they can be retrieved, and what your chances are of ever seeing those rhinestones again.
The flip side to this service, of course, is the ability to help you permanently delete those pictures so they can’t be retrieved, just in case you’re about to be sworn in as the grand poobah of some secret anti-ABBA club and want to make sure your dirty little secret is safe.
